Beaver Buggies, Kub Kars, and Scouts Trucks are a huge part of the tradition of Scouting. Combining building, creativity, and STEM, racing your own design down our tracks is a huge component of our program.
Pit Crew
Starting in Beavers (Sr.K to Grade 2) our Beaver Buggies kits are focused on fun and design. Beavers in Sr.K and Grade 1 usually focus on creative imaginative colour combinations and decorations to make their buggies their own.
By 3rd year our White Tail Beavers (Gr.2) start branching out a bit more and some start learning the science of making the cars faster. Weight distribution, polishing wheels and axels, and starting to look at aerodynamics White Tails have an opportunity to make their Buggies built for speed. :).
All in the name of fun, of course, cause as always Beavers is all about Sharing Sharing Sharing, making friends, and learning sportsmanship. It’s not whether you win or lose but how you play the game. Respect your fellow Beavers and remember to have fun. 🙂
