Today at our Cubs meeting, half our pack was sewing and the other half was carving
and sanding Cub Cars.
For those of us who were working on Cub Cars, before the meeting we needed to
create our design for the car on paper, and at the meeting we drew the cut lines onto the
block. We were using a bandsaw and a sanding belt with the help of our Scouters. As you
can see above our leader, Baloo was sanding our cars down and another Scouter was
cutting the designs with the bandsaw. We learned about safety using tools and the
importance of standing back when instructed. So, watch out!
The other half of the pack was busy sewing and making bookmarks using stitching.
Scouter Joanne and Scouter Nicole were helpful in teaching cubs the steps to create their own bookmarks.
Altogether it was a 10 out of 10 meeting, and I can’t wait to see you all next week!
