In last night’s meeting the Pack talked about Apple Day which is fast approaching and starts Friday, Oct 13 with our Howlers fundraising with Scouts. Runners and Trackers will be out in the community fundraising in shifts Saturday, Oct 14 with our Beavers. Parents are asked to remain in the eye-sight of our Cubs but the Cubs should be encouraged to fundraise independently representing 3rdWaterdown Scouting.
For our gathering game, we designed a game to get our Cubs thinking about our Personal Achievements Badges and the different activities they can Plan Do and Review to earn them. Personal Achievement badges for Cubs require our Cubs to plan out and do 4 activities related to the badge and review it with our Scouting Team or Pack.
We wrapped up the night in our Lairs brainstorming and designing Scarecrows to add to our 3rdWaterdown Scarecrow that was installed at Sealy Park this week.
The build will happen in Tuesday’s meeting next week. Anyone with extra materials they want to donate to the cause, old pillows to stuff, pants, shirts etc is welcome to bring the materials to our next meeting. Any Cub that would like to create a head for our Scarecrow at home, (paper mache or another method) is welcome to. If we end up with more than 2 heads we will have to get creative on how they are used. 🙂
