What an amazing night. As a parent and Scouter you never know what a build night is going to end up looking like and with our Pack you can never tell how things are going to work out. What started out hectic and a bit chaotic ended with two unique and creative Scarecrows.
It took a bit to get going but our Packs pulled together to sift through the materials brought in and built two amazing Cub Designed and Built Scarecrows to add to Sealy Hall. Well done everyone and thank you for all the support and the donated Scarecrow build materials. 🙂
Tonight’s build and last weeks design meeting had elements of four of our Personal Achievement Badges and counts towards the first activity for your Cubs Cub Arts, Cub Building, Cub Community and Cub Earth badges (scarecrows are an important tool in agriculture or so I’ve been told by our creative Cubs 🙂 ).
To complete the badges, Cubs (if they want to) will need to plan out three more activities to complete and review with us (per badge) at another meeting. For ideas and more details on how to complete badges check out Scouts Canada’s Website.
Check out your Cubs progress on Personal Achievement Badges and Outdoor Adventure Skills on Scoutstracker. The screen shot above is for Beavers but should be similar to Cubs. (Pond is replaced with Jungle and a few other differences) To get here log into Scoutstracker and click on the Home button on the left hand side bar and your screen should show options that you can click into to see your Cubs progressions. Progression starts with signing up for and attending meetings and events and ends with Scouters marking attendance and awarding progress throughout the year. We haven’t got everything updated yet as we are still learning but we are working on it. 🙂 Last nights meeting attendance has been updated and reflected.
Chat with us before or after the meetings if we missed your Cubs efforts or you feel there is something missing.
