This week at Cubs we introduced basic card games to the pack and gave out a deck of cards to each of our Cubs to help round out their day packs and provide an opportunity for entertainment during free time when Scouting or Camping.
Our Goal: provide Cubs with something fun and social to do when they have free time at meetings or camps. We had a long list of games to go over but they were having so much fun with War, Slap, and Crazy 8’s we didn’t get through them all. Why not learn a new game over March Break or after school?
One of the games we meant to get to but ran out of time is Spoons. It is a great group or family card game that is kind of like musical chairs with cards! Google it or check out YouTube for the rules, all you need is a deck of cards and a few spoons, one less than the number of players.
This week’s meeting can also serve as the first requirement for earning your Cub Hobby Badge. Plan out 3 more Hobby-related activities, complete them, and review them with our Pack and or Scouting team to complete this badge. Plan-Do-Review
